I recently stayed at The Chartist Cottage in Trefil for a weekend getaway. The location was perfect for exploring the Brecon Beacons, and being nestled up on the hill made it wonderfully quiet. The cottage was beautifully decorated, cozy, and well-equipped. The owner, Oriel, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, even leaving us essentials and a solar light for our late arrival. The views from the bedroom window were stunning, and having a log burner to relax by after our walks was a lovely bonus. I highly recommend this cottage for its peacefulness and charm.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with a bottle of fizz and a balloon, setting the tone for a special stay. The cottage provided everything we needed, from a well-stocked kitchen complete with cooking utensils, to a comfortable living space for relaxation. The shower and bath supplied plenty of hot water after our long walks around the beautiful area. We also appreciated waking up to stunning sunrises through the bedroom window and being entertained by the local sheep passing by. our time at The Chartist Cottage was truly unforgettable.

I had a wonderful stay in a warm, cosy cottage, waking up to beautiful views of the valley. The owner, Oriel, was amazing and made every effort to ensure our comfort. The cottage was clean and well-equipped, with thoughtful touches like a welcome pack and essential items. I loved the little touches of bread, milk, jams, and Welsh cakes waiting for us. Despite the remoteness of the village, it was perfect for peaceful walks with my dog. I highly recommend this cottage for a home away from home experience.
